Do you remember I said I’m still working on some resolutions? Well, I’m about to knock one out of the park.
Early registration has just begun for two workshops I’m holding. I’m thrilled to be able to combine two things I love…photography and teaching. I’ll introduce one of the workshops today but you can find descriptions of both and information on how to register on my Workshops Page.
One of the workshops on March 9th is the“Easy Ways to Start Taking Better Pictures”. I held this workshop a few years ago and it was a huge blast! I was ready to fire off another one right away but I had to find a new venue and I’ve been on the search ever since. It drove my husband crazy but I had a clear vision of what I wanted and I never found it…until now. We’ll be at the KEY Project in Kahaluu. It’s perfect! It offers not only classrooms but but best of all, the grounds are so picturesque, there’s tons of amazing places to practice. I want to gear this to anyone is interested in taking better photos. You’re going to get so much out of this workshop whether you have a dSLR or just a pocket-sized point-and-shoot camera. You can even just bring a camera phone or borrow a camera. It’s not going to matter as you learn it’s not always what you have, but how you use it!
It will be interactive and you’ll be sent on photo assignments to reinforce what we’re learning. This is going to be so much fun, so sign up with a bunch of friends and make a day of it! The other workshop being offered earlier on that day is geared towards dSLR owners. It will cover everything from how a dSLR camera works, to the basic photography concepts behind the camera modes, and we’ll get you comfortable with moving that dial off that “P” mode. Check out the workshops page for info on that to see if that is something you would find helpful.
Contact me if you’re interested and if you know someone who might want to sign up, send them the link! There’s only a small number of openings so don’t dally too long! Like them both? Sign up for both and have a day-long photography party.
